Posing for a Boudoir shoot

I get this question a lot before girls come to their shoot: "How can I prepare for the shoot?"
Well, besides the hair, makeup and a few saucy numbers to wear, I try to point the girls into the right direction. For pose inspirations I think a great place to look is at Adriana Lima. She is one of the Victoria Secret models who really works on her poses. There was a special on Victoria Secret where she was talking about how she practices in front of a mirror. I'd say google her name and look at her body language. I don't know what type of figure you have but do keep in mind that she is a professional model who can sit and not worry about belly fat bunching up...look at the poses where her body is elongated, stretched, not really bent if you are trying to conceal anything...
Pay attention to her arms but don't memorize. Just get a feel for it and try it in front of your mirror and see what looks good. Also a good thing to notice are the eyes! But don't worry, I'll be there to point you in the right direction.

Over 20 Girls Shot...

March was a big Boudoir month!

Mia of The Bridal Lounge and I hosted a very successful Boudoir Marathon in a total of 3 days.
We worked with over 20 beautiful girls in that time span and we had an amazing time!

I really cannot wait to share some of the pictures but due to their nature I cannot post freely...permission pending :)

The B Word

What girls want, what boys love and what photographers can't resist...
Of course I'm refering to Boudoir Photography.

It is one of the first styles I toyed with before even knowing it was called Boudoir and something I never expected to take off as it has! In the bridal community it seems as if it is the latest buzz and for good reason. Not only does it give a great gift, but it is an empowering experience as I heard from my clients. What woman does not want to feel sexy, beautiful and liberated from her own chains. Forget about what society thinks is beautiful; When you are with me the only boundry is yourself and everything is for you. Keep it on or take it off, we'll make it hot!
